Twenty Minutes From TONI - Daylesford Farm
Welcome to our new series of blogs, titled ‘Twenty Minutes From TONI’, where we will be sharing with you some epic Cotswold locations, all reachable by car (some on foot) within 20 minutes from The Old New Inn in Bourton-On-The-Water. So that if you’re staying with us, you’ll have a solid list of places to visit during your trip.
Starting with none other than Daylesford Organic which, if you haven’t heard of it before, is a stunning farm shop, cafe and deli, as well as hosting an amazing array of goods for your house or garden
Location
Daylesford Organic is located just outside of Daylesford, near Kingham. It’s surrounded by stunning countryside. Around 8 miles away if you head in the direction of Stow-On-The-Wold, you can get there in around 20 minutes, obviously depending on traffic! For a slightly longer, yet more scenic drive, you can head out of Bourton-On-The-Water towards Little Rissington, which will then take you through Kingham to reach Daylesford Farm.
Farm Shop
Inside their farm shop, you’ll find an amazing array of fresh food, locally sourced organic fruit and vegetables and stacks of incredible, carefully selected, products, including their very own wines, juices, freshly baked bread loaves, soups, broths and more. It truly is a unique, organic shopping experience.
Shopping
Looking for something nice for the home or garden? Or perhaps some new gear for a pampered pup? Their homeware and garden collections are stunning. Choose a beautifully smelling home fragrance, some updated cookware and tableware, or treat yourself to some incredible new furniture. They also have a whole pet section where you’ll find their own branded organic dog food, high quality collars and leads and beds that are sure to make sure your pup gets the best night's sleep.
Dining
After all that shopping, you’ll have certainly worked up an appetite, and don’t worry, Daylesford will not let you down, with not one, not two, but three dining areas. The Trough Restaurant is a Michelin Green Star dining room and courtyard where most of the produce is picked within the grounds of the farm. They have The Old Spot which serves up wood-fired pizzas and sharing plates on their terrace. Or you can enjoy The Legbar which is a great space for coffee, pastry, cocktails and small plates.
